From Dying Suns is a progressive death metal band from Quebec City, featuring members from some of the most respected names in the Quebec metal scene, including Augury, Killitorous, First Fragment, Aeternam, Obliveon, Épiphanie, and Contemplator. The band merges their technical prowess with a passion for video game-inspired storytelling, resulting in an intense and theatrical experience.

Their latest album, Calamity, is an 11-track conceptual journey inspired by retro video game classics like Castlevania and Ghosts 'n Goblins, following a nameless knight’s cursed odyssey through haunted catacombs, burning villages, and spellbound forests in a quest for salvation.

Calamity has received widespread critical acclaim. Angry Metal Guy hailed it as “bass-forward, rifftacular technical, and melodic death metal”, praising its complexity and comparing it to acts like Arsis, Revocation, and The Black Dahlia Murder.
